2018-Current

Currently I am working on Carrie-Anne Moss's lifestyle site Annapurna Living, I have been hired to repurpose and edit her existing videos into course content for the Fierce Grace Collective .  I am also reaching out to women and organizing an interview series called Annapurna Women with more then 30 form submissions to process and que for the site Annapurna Living.

Avajane.com is a garden and lifestyle site I run.  It features my landscape design work along with Interviews and Lifestyle Media.  Recently I have been enjoying interviewing farmers, film makers, journalists and those working around the idea of sustainability.  Below are a few photos from interviews I recently published for my site  a v a j a n e.

Media 66 is an Online Post Production and New Media Development Company.   I co-founded with my husband Miklos Wright.  Aside from building the site, I also do editorial work, interview industry insiders and develop partnerships for our growing business. Below are photos from recent interviews I published on our site Media 66.

2016-now. Repurposing video content for Annenberg Foundation's Explore.org and Carrie-Anne Moss's sites Fierce Grace Collective and Annapurna Living.  Along with repurposing content I also make promotional ads to accompany the new content that can be used on Social Media across platforms. I am also currently organizing interviews from 30-40 women for an upcoming series on Annapurna Living.   Making the change from landscape design back to media has been re-energizing to my creativity and enthusiasm.  I enjoy capturing moving imagery and importing it into repurposed content to revitalize its message and focus.  Primarily for me this year I am looking forward to creating new content for people to see and be inspired by.   I am also still continuing to develop our Post Production Company Media 66.  Editorial Credits: Video Editor for The Fierce Grace Collective Course Content, Assistant Editor on Explore.org Brown Bears of Katmai Assistant Editor on Arctic Pearls of Planet   This video was used at the Annenberg Space for Photography in a special exhibit and it was also projected 100' across in Santa Monica.  I also Assisted on a Bison Project for Explore.org.

2010-2015  a v a j a n e  Owner/Operator.  Avajane is a Garden Design and Lifestyle site.  This is a space where I can feature my landscape design work and also post interviews and lifestyle media.  I have been a landscape designer in the Los Angeles area since early 2000.  With      a v a j a n e   Garden Design I dove deeper into Low Impact Development LID, drought tolerant and fire wise plant material and building my online content.  I have always enjoyed working outside and cultivating the land.  My work has been featured in the LA Times, Lonny Magazine and even TMZ.  I have often collaborated with interior designers Bridgid Coulter and Tracie Butler as well.  

2003-2009 During this time I bought and sold Foxglove Garden Design out of Malibu.  I developed my interests in horticulture while building on my client lists.  My work was seen on HGTV

2001-2002. Design Assistant for Beau De Jardin in the Pacific Palisades.  working along side Kathy Kargas and her landscape design which I would describe as having a story book feel, she also at that time designed French Provincial & English Cottage Gardens.  I was able to trade my data management skills for learning landscape design in Southern California.  This was the direction I was most enthusiastic about.  I wanted to be outside at this point as opposed to working in an office.

1998-2000. Organic Online Media. (NY,NY). Senior Analyst for Online Campaigns.  Managed more then 100 current campaigns, provided reporting of ad performance to sales teams and clients.  Assisted in the construction of an Access database to manage all campaigns for Organic Online Media.  Managed large scale data compilation and analysis

1996-1997. Wired Solutions  (Santa Fe NM)  Managed all Online Advertising, assisted daily with optimizing ad campaigns and over saw reporting of daily revenue from 10 separate sites.  Developed database for reporting analysis to sales team and company owners based out of Canada.  Worked along side banner ad development to create highest performing ad campaigns.  Also offered insights to ad runs during live campaigns and advising on adjustments to optimize ad budgets. Managed large scale data compilation and analysis

1996-1997 (NY,NY) Ad-Venture Online Advertising campaign coordinator.  Reported on online advertising campaigns to sales team set up ad traffic campaigns, providing links for clients ad tracking.  Downloaded large scale data for providing click rates and impressions during ad runs.

 1994-1996 Pseudo.com. Production Coordinator for many online programs.  Pseudo Programs was the premier provider of Online Net-Television entertainment. Each week the Pseudo Online Network produced and netcast more than fifty different interactive Net-TV shows, representing over 200 hours of original live programming per month. Pseudo's shows covered a range of non-mainstream topics underserved by traditional broadcast and cable networks.

Skills

Web Design, using Square Space and Word Press.  I do have a Word Press administrator that I use for consulting due to the robustness of the software.

Premiere Pro- Adobe editing software.  Currently I am editing repurposed course content for Carrie-Anne Moss.  I have assisted on editing projects most notably, Annenberg: Pearls of the Planet (showed at Annenberg Space for Photography).  Also assembled small ads for Annapurna Living.  Using Premiere pro I am able to set up projects, import and export files, convert files, work on sound and edit picture and layer text.

Word Office. Excel, Word Perfect, some experience using Access.

Google Office. proficient in G Suite and its all encompassing system of organizational management 

Photoshop.  I mostly use photoshop for editing and resizing photos I take for web based content.

2017- Currently enrolled in the New Hampshire Landscaping Association Certification for Professionals.    I spend time in New Hampshire and actually own a home there, I may need this certification in the future.  You never know. 

2017. Recently completed a 4 week course on Biomimicry through Canvas Network

2012- Attended a 3 day conference held by the California Stormwater Quality Association  (CASQA).  The CASQA Annual Conference offers a full agenda of stormwater focused training workshops, presentations, and exhibits, as well as a unique opportunity to interact with professionals in the stormwater field.                

2010 Enrolled in a 6 week course through Echo Education.  Echo teaches professionals tools and strategies that promote the kind of safe, stable nurturing relationships that lead to healthy development as well as healing from generational trauma.     

2006-2007  Fielding Graduate University, after a year long study I earned a Certificate in Integral Theory which is part of the Organizational Management and Development program at Fielding.  Integral theory was developed by philosopher and author Ken Wilber, it uses its own AQAL model to explain interior subjective perspective bringing forth the exterior objective experience.  I found this conversation interesting in the approach to design.  First sensing a space and feeling its potential, then communicating those ideas to then initiating and completing a design. 

1996. Graduated from Ball State University (Indiana)  Earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with studies in Philosophy.  Inducted into Phi Sigma Tau   (philosophical honors society). Graduated on Deans List.
